Most of my paintings take forever. with a bunch of working sessions spread out over days/weeks/months/years. But lately I've been keeping some small panels ready to go. so at the end of the day I can make a quick painting just for fun with whatever colors are left on my palette. This one is a painting of Armus.
Why in particular would I paint the blob who kills Tasha Yar in that one episode of TNG? Because I'd messed up painting something else and was like. What can I paint that is mostly black and would cover everything up? Mostly painted with a brush but there are also some textured blobby bits painted with a palette knife.
Measures about 6 x 8 on un-cradled gessoed masonite (reverse side has a notch for easy hanging without a frame). Hand-signed in pencil on the back.
